I’m Shutting Down My Other Blogs, So Goodbye!

Shutting Down

Ok, maybe shutting down is exaggerated. I have three blogs.

KOL Blogging is the first I’ve released, which started out as a blog about random things that I liked and found interesting. Then I decided that it should be all about Online Marketing and Blogging. At the time, I was obsessed with blogging, I still am but not the way I used to. At the time I was inspired by bloggers like Melyssa Griffin and I wanted to be a professional blogger, the techie kind that knows all about starting a blog and growing it. And so I’ve filtered out all my posts and left only the ones that are about online marketing and blogging. I’ve written so much posts like that and even learned to create really informative posts that are more than 2000 words. I learned so much from creating KOL Blogging. It was my baby.

Then I realized that I can’t blog about just one thing. One of the niches I used to write about was Personal Finance because Jan and I are money savvy and are associates of IMG. So I launched Start With A Peso in the hopes of becoming a professional Personal Finance blogger as well. I took the old posts that I’ve placed back to draft from KOL Blogging that is about investing and finance and republished them on SWAP. I created a library on how to start on the road to financial security.

Then the other niche I couldn’t let go of was Traveling. So, I launched this baby right here. Flavorful Travels. I’ve included food because, on most of our travels, we eat because Jan is originally the food lover and I was just tagging along until I’ve grown to love eating too.

So I thought I can maintain three blogs but unfortunately, I don’t have all the time in the world. I’m no longer updating KOL Blogging or Start With A Peso and I’m focusing more on Flavorful Travels.

I don’t want to let these other blogs go but I can’t keep them either. I’m not going to shut them down. The title of this post may have been exaggerated. I’m just leaving them as is. I’m going to take down all contact form so brands can no longer contact me for collaborations. But I’m keeping the blogs up. “Why?” you ask. Well, I’ve published so much good materials on there already that I don’t want to waste. So I’m keeping them open like a library for blogger and Filipinos who wants to learn more about personal finance. It’s all there for free.

Why am I keeping Flavorful Travels instead of the other two, especially the one which URL is also my full name? That’s because out of the three, I’m most passionate about traveling and eating. I know I’m crazy about blogging but I’m just not fit to always be that techie and analytical about it. I’m also not a professional finance consultant or financial planner. And I realized that line of career is not what I want to take.

I’m a #travelgirl… That’s all the explanation you need to know.

This post is not related to my niche as a travel and food blogger, I know, it’s just something off and a bit personal. I guess it’s my way of finally making that decision for myself that I will no longer publish blog posts on KOL Blogging or Start With A Peso. So that is final.

If you want to visit KOL Blogging and Start With A Peso to read some stuff, you can still do that, but I prefer if we can all just hang out here on Flavorful Travels.

Wow it seems really hard to divide all your time between 3 blogs! I can hardly keep up with 1. Good call on not shutting them down completely! You might want to hop back to one someday along the road, like when your love for personal finance comes up again!

Yeah, I couldn’t. These are my babies so shutting them down completely is so not an option. Thanks for dropping by.

Three blogs and I can’t even manage one!! 🙂 I think if you want to you can do crossovers between your interests – how to allocate money for traveling, how to still save money while eating your way through Manila (or something), how to make your food blog flourish 😛

Those are great ideas Teesh. I could definitely do that on Flavorful Travels. They would also be helpful for readers. Thanks! 🙂
