What’s In My Travel Kikay Kit

Kikay Kit

If you know me, I’m not much of a make-up girl but there are a few things I put on my face and even my hair that I cannot live without. Like, seriously cannot survive a trip without these things. Ha! So today, I’m writing about what’s in my travel kikay kit. These would be all of the things that I have stuffed in one small pouch, which I take with me everywhere like at work, on road trips, on dates, on flights, to the mall, and seriously anywhere.

I took this flatlay photo a week ago when Jan and I went up to Baguio. I was never planning on writing this post. I just found this really nice table in the hotel room and decided to pour out everything that’s in my kikay kit and take a flatlay photo, which I think would look really cool on Instagram, and I think it does, but I haven’t really posted this photo yet. So anyway, here are what’s in my travel kikat kit.

Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat

I have dry hair. Always have, always will. Well, except when I have it rebonded. But lately, I haven’t done that mainly because it’s really expensive and my hair is kind of breaking off easily. I have really thick hair so I’m not worried that I might get bold but the amount of hair that I lose in the shower every day is kind of worrisome. So I decided to take a break from rebonding my hair and just take care of it for now. And I’m using Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat to make it less dry and it really does help without giving it that greasy feeling and look.

ColourPop Ultra Glossy Liquid Gloss In Sookie

I just bought this new lipgloss or liquid lipstick from a colleague and it’s in a dark shade like the violet-ish dark. I don’t wear dark lippies. I tried that for some time when I was in college but not this dark. But everyone is saying that I look good with this color because my skin tone is light. So I’ve included it in my kikat kit and I’ve been carrying it everywhere I go.

Etude House Curl Fix

One thing I’ve crazy about is curling my lashes. I have fairly long lashes, but they’re not curled the way I want them to so I have a curl-lash that I use, but if I use it often my lashes break and some even get pulled out, maybe I’m not using it right, I don’t know. So I bought a mascara from Etude House. I really like products from Etude House because they are in good quality so I don’t mind paying much money for them because they are worth it. Ans this Curl Fix, aside from the fact that it looks totally cool with the skull, it’s also long lasting because it’s waterproof.

Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Two-Way Cake

I recently discovered this product from Etude House. I don’t use foundation or cake or my face but I decided to try it and I fell in love with it. It’s just magic on skin because it totally blends with my complexion and does not make me look like I’m wearing too much makeup. In fact, it looks so natural on me and it evens out my skin tone, covers up my dark under eyes the dark spots. It also keeps my skin less oily than it usually is.

Maybelline Baby Lips In Pink Lolita And Neon Rose

From the beginning that I was introduced to makeup or anything that puts color on my face, the only product that I would say I cannot love without is lip gloss. I’ve known this since my mother gave me my first Avon lipgloss and now I’ve found Maybelline Baby Lips. I have dry lips and if I don’t put anything on it, it will crack and it’s just so bad. So I need to constantly moisturize my lips. I love Pink Lolita the most among the colors because it’s not so naked and not so heavy. It just looks light and natural. I also have one in Neon Rose, which is a heavier color for night time makeup, or just in case.

Wet n Wild Lipstick In Pikerbell/ Rose Tendre

This lipstick is another one that I’ve bought from my colleague. I’ve never really tried it yet, I guess I haven’t found the opportunity to try it yet. But I always have it in my kikay kit as well. Aside from lipgloss, it’s also nice to keep long lasting lipstick in my kit also just in case.

Olay Age Protect Anti-Ageing Cream

My everyday morning routine after taking a shower or washing my face would be to apply Olay Age Protect Anti-Ageing Cream. I am a fan of Olay products. My skin just loves it. I have neck and face lotion, facial wash, and toner all from Olay, but the one thing that I always use, even if I forget to use the others, is the Olay Age Protect Anti-Ageing Cream. It makes my skin feels soft and reduces the wrinkle on the side of the eyes when I smile. I’m not that old yet but I really want to preserve my skin as much as I can and this product helps me do just that.

Careline Pimple Concealer In Oriental

Every girl gets pimples. I know you understand what I’m talking about and when I do get pimples, it lessens my confidence. It just makes me feel embarrassed. Even though I don’t get pimples every day, I always bring this Careline Pimple Concealer with me in my kikay kit. It’s in oriental color, which is perfect for my skin tone and blends beautifully.

Etude House Drawing Eye Brow In Brown

It’s all about the eyebrows. Lately, the eyebrow thing is so in. Celebrities like Lily Collins, Emilia Clarke, and Cara Delevingne are famously sporting thick beautiful eyebrows and I’m seriously loving mine. To make them look more defined, I pencil them in with my favorite Etude House Drawing Eye Brow In Brown. I prefer brown and not black because the darker the color makes it look thicker and less natural.

Etude House Pencil Eye Liner In Brown

When I was in college, I was crazy about eyeliners. I can’t remember if it’s because every other girl was wearing it or maybe because I just felt like I look good wearing eyeliner. But lately, I feel like when I wear eyeliner, it makes me look like I’m tired, but I’m not giving up on the product. Ha! So in times when I have the urge to wear eyeliner, I always have this Etude House Pencil Eye Liner in brown, which I always keep in my kikay kit.

So there you have it. That’s all of the products that I use on my face to give it color, life, and prettiness. Ha! Hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I undergo hair rebonding treat regularly before. But I decided to stop that treatment and settle for my natural hair when I noticed that hair fall and dryness were worsening and it bothered me a lot. I also use vitress to add a little shine and make my hair look healthier. I can not live without lip balms too! I’m using the same brand as yours, Maybelline baby lips. But for some reasons, I like the nivea more.

I’m really torn between wanting to rebond my hair and not rebonding my hair. It’s just so dry and I’m not really sure what to do about it right now. Nivea products are ok, too, but sometimes I think they are a bit expensive.

It is. But it’s a ready heavy colour and sometimes I feel like I don’t have the confidence to wear it.

Lip balm, gloss, pressed powder and eyebrow pencil are definitely on my kikay kit. Haha. Etude’s drawing eyebrow was my first eyebrow tool. I find it really good (and cheap) for beginners like me.
